What Boomerang is doing in the time of Corona Virus...

Hello has now been nearly two weeks since we closed our doors. But, we have been working, everyday, learning how best to continue to treat all our patients, even if we have to do this from a distance. JJ has been working tirelessly and has learned so much about your treatment options. What we know is this....many insurance companies are allowing their clients to participate in TELEHEALTH sessions. This is a 1:1 treatment session provided by your physical therapist via the internet. Boomerang is utilizing ZOOM, a web service which allows people to have face-to-face meetings over their computers. JJ has been honing her Telehealth skills and is ready to meet with you, in the comfort and safety of your own home.

What we know:

Medicare Part B is very close to allowing physical therapy and occupational therapy via Telehealth. They have created the codes, but are still making necessary changes to allow PTs and OTs to be providers. Until then, Medicare patients can have E-visits, which is a phone call with your PT to answer questions and check in.

Providence Health Plans are allowing PT/OT via Telehealth for all plans, including Medicare Advantage plans.

United Health Care is allowing PT/OT via Telehealth for all plans

Regence will allow if the patient's plan included the teelehealth benefit. Boomerang staff will research for you if you are interested.

Regence Federal Employee is allowing PT/OT via Telehealth for all plans.

Triwest is allowing PT/OT via Telehealth for all plans
